Roles and Responsibilities - Test Engineer
Test Engineer will be part of agile quality team and responsible for validating various aspects of a product/project through functional tests, integration tests, system tests & regression tests.
Duties & responsibilities
Reporting to Manager-Software Quality, duties & responsibilities include:
Project area:
1. Work closely with QA and identify how testing for each sprint is carried out
2. Execute manual test cases through test runs created by QA
3. Record the results (Pass/Fail) in test case management tool
4. Record any new bugs in Issue tracking tool
5. Retest as necessary during planned test cycles
6. Follow up issues until they are closed
7. Switching hats from test execution to Writing test scripts for scenarios created by QA as needed
8. Ensure regression test cases are kept up to date
